Description

What is tea ($TEA)?

tea ($TEA) is a decentralized protocol with a mission to reward open-source developers for their valuable contributions to the software supply chain. Here are the key features of tea:

  1. Proof of Contribution Algorithm: Tea employs a Proof of Contribution (PoC) algorithm to assess the impact and value of each open-source project. This ensures that developers receive fair recognition and compensation based on their work.
  2. TEA Token Distribution: Through the PoC algorithm, Tea distributes TEA tokens to contributors. These tokens serve as a form of incentive and represent the value of their contributions.
  3. Reputation System: Tea incorporates a reputation system to evaluate the reliability and trustworthiness of contributors. A positive reputation enhances a developer’s standing within the ecosystem.
  4. Staking and Slashing Mechanism: To maintain software quality and security, Tea implements a staking and slashing mechanism. Contributors stake TEA tokens as collateral, and any malicious behavior can result in token slashing.
  5. Inclusive Participation: Tea encourages a wide range of participants, including package maintainers, users, supporters, and tasters. Everyone can engage with the protocol and benefit from the open-source economy.
  6. Decentralized Governance: Tea’s governance is handled by a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Active contributors have the power to propose and vote on protocol parameters and features.

In summary, tea aims to create a thriving ecosystem where open-source development is rewarded, quality is maintained, and collaboration flourishes.

Will there be a tea ($TEA) token airdrop?

The tea Protocol has already unveiled the specifics of their upcoming $TEA token airdrop. Confirmed by tea, this airdrop will convert the points earned through incentivized testnet tasks into actual tokens. Mark your calendars: the mainnet launch and distribution of $TEA tokens are scheduled for June 12, 2024.

As a general participant in the tea testnet, you can accumulate points by completing the various starter tasks. However, if you tackle the challenges reserved for top developers within the protocol, you stand to receive even more tokens. Many more tasks are due in the imminent future. As of right now, you are very early to this campaign, so do not fade this airdrop, the tasks have a time limit so if you leave it too late, earlier points will not be accessible to you.

So, whether you’re a seasoned developer or an enthusiastic supporter, keep an eye out for this exciting airdrop!
